Elisabeth Hansen Oen was born in South Korea, adopted and raised in Norway.
She studied fashion design in high school and trained as an intern at Riksteateret in Oslo. She is a BFA Graduate of MAson Gross School of The Arts. During her time at Mason Gross she has studied abroad at Shakespeare's Globe and The School of Historical Dress in London.

"My work as a technician is meant to help bring the designer's vision to life in order to tell a story. What drives me the most as a theater artist is the desire to master as many skills as possible, be that constructing garments, embellishments or crafts. As a designer I enjoy manifesting abstract ideas into a real, thought-provoking story."
